Bio

I am a consultant neurologist with particular expertise in multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune neurological disorders. Following internship, I completed specialty training in neurology at Concord, Canberra and Nepean Hospitals; after which I was awarded the prestigious ANZAN Fellowship at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, United Kingdom, where I worked closely with experts from the University of Oxford in autoimmune neurology and epilepsy. Upon returning to Sydney, I completed further fellowship training in multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology at the Brain and Mind Centre and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

I currently hold appointments as an Honorary Visiting Medical Officer at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and Clinical Lecturer at Sydney Medical School, The University of Sydney.

One of my passions is medical education. I have taught numerous pharmacy students, medical students, and trainee doctors over the years; and received a number of teaching awards.

My research has been presented at Australian and international neurology meetings and published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. I am an investigator for a number of local and international clinical trials and studies in multiple sclerosis. I am currently undertaking PhD research with Prof Michael Barnett at the University of Sydney looking at optimising disease-modifying therapy for multiple sclerosis .
